The growth of the gift card industry is increasing year on year with the industry seeing a 10% growth from 2013 and the industry now being worth £5bn in 2014, with 50% of the market being B2B sales. Working very closely with Caffè Nero we manage their ecommerce online presence for B2C products and gift cards as well as B2B development through corporate sales programmes.
For us 2014 saw the introduction of ‘auto top up’ in which customers can select a minimum balance for their card and once the balance reaches that level it will automatically top up the card using a pre-set amount through PayPal. We also ran multiple promotions with the support of partners such as 02 & The Art Fund. Most importantly we had an extremely successful year for B2B & B2C sales with a more than substantial increase on 2013.
In 2015 we have plans to move further into digital sales as well as providing a rewards scheme for city businesses while continuing to increase sales for both B2C and B2B gift cards.
